I can’t play live, but like Roland, I need music to breathe.
Music plays a massive part in my life, and in my stories. I’m listening to music when I’m writing, or when I’m thinking about what happens next.
And music comes into my stories without much conscious thought – the songs in my head that fit a scene, get into that scene. It’s that organic.
